Marion Vivian “Cricket” Cowan, 91, of Mineral Wells, formerly of Newark, Wirt County, passed away April 23, 2026, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born June 20, 1934, in Parkersburg, a daughter of the late Alfred and Lillian Ballengee Fought. Mrs. Cowan was the owner/operator of Taylor’s Market and previously the Fought General Store. She was an outdoors person and an animal lover, having several rescue dogs.
