Rickey Allen ‘Rick’ Green

Green

1955 – 2026

Rick Green passed away at his home in Williamstown, WV, following a brief illness. He was a man of quiet strength, a dedicated worker, and a devoted family man.

Rick was born in Charleston, WV, to the late Paul Brooks Green and Wanda Scott Green. He dedicated over 45 years to the oil and gas industry, and his strong work ethic was highly regarded by colleagues, neighbors, friends and family.

Rick enjoyed spending time outdoors. He liked trout fishing, working in his garden, taking care of his property, and working with heavy machinery, especially his tractors!

Rick’s greatest achievement was his 51-year marriage to his beloved wife, Leila Green. Together they built a strong and lasting household. He is survived by his wife, his daughters Alice and Virginia, his sons-in-law Kenny and Abhijit “Bill”, his grandson and best buddy Cooper, lifelong friends Pam and Roy Meadows, and grand-pup Dorothy.

He is also survived by many in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Rodney Green.

In accordance with Rick’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral services. Instead, the family will host a celebration of life in the coming months to honor his memory and share stories of a life well-lived.

Rick often said, “Death is a part of livin’. It’s just the last the part.”

The family wishes to thank those who have reached out with kindness and support during this difficult time.
