Betty Lucille (Godfrey) Lockhart of Washington, WV, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2025, surrounded by family. She was born on Jan. 10, 1936. in Gilmer County, WV the daughter of the late Wise (Jake) Godfrey and Beulah (Dot) Queen Godfrey. Betty was a member of the South Parkersburg Baptist Church for over 50 years and the Lubeck Community Baptist Church since 2001. She worked as an administrator at both churches. On Friday, June 13, 2025, the Lord called his faithful servant, Eulalah Ernestine (Keffer) Mullen, to her Heavenly home. She was at home surrounded by her loving husband, children, and grandchildren and supported with tremendous love and prayers felt from friends and extended family abroad. She defied all odds after suffering a stroke three years ago. Linda K. Reynolds, 80, of Newport died Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with burial following in East Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation is from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday.

Rex Q. Sundstrom, 72, of Parkersburg passed away June 13, 2025, at his residence. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery North. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
