Ronald George Merritt

Ronald George Merritt, 85, of Washington, WV, passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2025 in Parkersburg, a son of the late Clemmie Gail Merritt and Lavina Jessie Baker Merritt. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lillie A. “Sally” Merritt, whom he married on August 3, 1962. He is also survived by his son, Gregory Merritt of Parkersburg; many nieces and nephews, two special “daughters” Erin and Kim; numerous friends, and his two dogs, SamBoe and Ben. Charlotte Ann Peters, 80, of Parkersburg, WV, went home to be with the Lord, November 22, 2025, with the compassionate care of Eagle Point Healthcare Center. Charlotte was born December 13, 1944, in Moyers, WV, daughter of and greeted in Heaven by the late Wesley Richard and Linnie Ann McClure Eye. She graduated from Williamstown High School in 1963, Charlesburg Beauty Academy in 1978, and opened The Klip Joint in October of 1979. She was owner and operator until retiring in November of 2009.
