He was born on May 12, 1953 to the late Lake and Jo Ann (Higgins) Parsons in Parkersburg, WV. Michael was a sonar operator in the United States Navy in 1972. Later on in life, he became an electrician for Ecko Housewares in Massillon, Ohio, where he worked for 26 years. Following that, he worked for RW Screw in Massillon, Ohio, for 13 years.
