Curtis G. Brown Jr., 83, of Mineral Wells, passed away suddenly Saturday, July 11, 2026. He was born April 13, 1943, in Parkersburg, WV, to the late Curtis Glenn and Ruth Gessel Brown of Rockport, WV.

Curtis graduated from Parkersburg High School in 1962. He spent his career in the automotive industry and owned multiple service stations. He retired from United Parcel Service in 2003 after 25 years of service.

Curtis was a member of South Parkersburg Baptist Church, where he served on the property management team. Curtis spent his retirement years serving the Lord and others.

Curtis is survived by his loving wife, Judy Pickrel Brown, the mother of his children, Mary Kelbaugh, his daughters, Crystle Feran (Tim) of Lakeland, FL, and Connie Brown (John) of Columbus, OH; Stepdaughters Andrea Stephens of Belpre, OH, Amy Morrison (Eric) of Parkersburg, and grandchildren Katie Feran, Lindsey Morrison, Jessica Turner, Julia Pfouts, Andrew Feran; and sister Lois Jean Wilson of Parkersburg.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Sharon K. Archer of Rockport.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 15, at South Parkersburg Baptist Church from 2-4pm, and again from 6-8 pm. Funeral Services will be Thursday, July 16, at the church with visitation 1 hour prior. Graveside service will immediately follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.
