Wesley Michael Amos, a student at Parkersburg Christian School, suddenly passed away May 15, 2026 while playing ball with his friends. He was born December 3, 2007, in Parkersburg, a son of Zackary and Christy Vannoy Amos.
Wesley was a young man with a deep love for God, a passion for basketball and a heart that touched everyone who knew him. His faith guided his life and he carried kindness, strength and compassion wherever he went.Wesley loved spending time with his family and friends, creating memories filled with laughter, jokes, encouragement and love. Whether on the court or simply enjoying time with those closest to him, Wesley brought energy and joy into every room. Basketball was more than a game to him – it was one of the many ways he connected with others and showed his determination and team spirit. Though his time here was far too short, Wesley’s impact will never be forgotten. His smile, faith and loving spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Surviving in addition to his parents are his sisters: Alyssa Arthur and Kaeli Hewitt (Shane), grandparents: Kelly Amos, Bridget Vannoy, Foster Vannoy Jr. (Kathy), Debbie Wright and great-grandmother Linda Vannoy, uncle Dylan Malloy, nieces and nephews: Aiden, Aubrey, Caspen, Lukah and Landon along with best friend Ashton Peeples and a host of other friends and school mates.
Funeral services will be Tuesday 11 a.m. at Spreading Truth Ministries, 1093 Core Road, in Parkersburg with Pastor Ralph Tisdale officiating. Interment will follow at Rockland Cemetery, Belpre, Ohio. Visitation will be Sunday 2-6 p.m. and one hour prior to services, all at the church.
