Dinah Tebay

Dinah Tebay, 70, of Parkersburg, WV, passed away Monday, February 16, 2026, at Wyngate Assisted Living.

She was born on July 3, 1955, in Parkersburg, WV, a daughter of the late Amos and Jean (Wells) McVey. She graduated from Wirt County High School and dedicated more than 40 years of service working at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Camden Clark Memorial.

Dinah is survived by her husband, Robert Tebay, Jr.; her daughter, Ashley Porto (Jared McClain) of Charlotte, NC; her brother, Tony McVey (Lisa); her sister, Diana Veatch; and her four stepchildren, Robert Tebay (Shelley), Sara Sherwin (Shawn), John Tebay (Susan), and Jane Davis (Al), along with many nieces and nephews. Dinah also leaves behind a brokenhearted group of countless friends.

Dinah had a natural gift for caring for others, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met. Her most cherished role was that of a loving mother to Ashley, nurturing her with steady devotion and grace. When she wasn’t tending to those around her, she was often in the kitchen baking her delicious pies, which she lovingly shared with so many.

Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, is assisting the family with cremation arrangements. The family is planning a celebration of life at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
