Lawrence H. Bowe

Lawrence H. Bowe, 85, of Little Hocking, Ohio, died peacefully at home on November 10, 2025. He was born in Athens County, Ohio, to the late Lawrence Edward and Pauline (Keck) Bowe McLean.

“Larry” was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church and retired from E.I. DuPont as a mechanic. He had been a member of the Athens County Motorcycle Club and also belonged to the Eagles and Moose clubs. He loved fishing, boating, camping, and spending time at his grandkids’ activities.

He is survived by his children, Deanna (Jeffrey) Muscari of Pickerington, Ohio; Gregory (Pamela) Bowe of Pickerington; Melissa (Brian) Liston of Little Hocking; and Brian (Jennifer) Bowe of Cutler; a brother, Edward (Dianne) Bowe; and a sister, Waunita Kichen. He was a proud grandfather to Lauren (Connor) Johnson, Tyler (Kylee) Liston, Audrey (Brody) Gilliand, Alexander Bowe, Peyton Bowe, Kate (Noah) Nichols, Emilia Bowe, and Andrew Bowe, and great-grandfather to Elliana Johnson, Rylee Liston, Rowan Johnson, Berklee Liston, and Bodie Johnson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sharon (Bean) Bowe; and a brother, Robert McLean Jr.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, with Father David Huffman as celebrant. Friends may call at Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre, on Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Little Hocking, Ohio.
