Margarete Collins, went home to be with the lord on November 10, 2025. Margarete was born on February 8, 1941, in Friedburg, Germany. Preceded in death by her husband, Darl G. Collins, Sr., mother, Margaretha Rodl, father Valentin Findling, step father Alfred Rodl, sisters, Inga Zunner, and Johanna Findling, and brothers Karlheinz Findling, and Verner Findling. Also preceded in death by her grandsons James Robert Greenwalt Collins and Donald T. Stillion and son-in-law, Gregory Scott Jonas.

Margarete met the love of her life, Darl G. Collins, Sr., soldier of the United States Army, while living in Friedberg, Germany. They were married in Germany on June 27,1958.

Margarete went to school in Germany to become a successful seamstress but her true love was being a wife to Darl G. Collins, Sr, and mother to her six children Darl G, Collins, Jr (Sally), Billy G. Collins, (Brenda), Barbara A. Collins, James E. Collins, (Camille), Pamela J. Parker (Elmer), and Debra L. Jonas. Margarete Collins has 14 grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren.

Margarete enjoyed knitting and crocheting, and enjoying her numerous flower gardens. Margarete’s favorite pastime was spending time with her beloved family.

Margarete Collins was a member of the Amazing Grace Community Church of Tuppers Plains, Ohio and a member of Vanderhoof Jolly Workers, of Tuppers Plains, Ohio.

Funeral services will be 2pm Sunday November 16, 2025, at Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre, Ohio. Burial will follow at Fairview Memory Gardens in Belpre. Visitation will be Saturday from 4-7pm. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.LeavittFuneralHome.com
