Carolyn Sue Combs

Carolyn Sue Combs, 78, of Vienna, passed away Oct. 8, 2025, at Camden Clark Medical Center. She was born July 8, 1947, a daughter to the late Pearl and Mary L. Mackey (Nelson). Carolyn was a member of Landmark Baptist Church and enjoyed time with her family. She was a skilled cook and enjoyed watching game shows. Carolyn also loved playing cards and reading her Bible.

Carolyn is survived by her son Michael Combs (Nicole); adopted daughter Brittany Tennant; sisters Jody Johnson and Sharon Calebaugh; brothers Gary Mackey and Mike Mackey; several grandchildren and great grandchildren, and her special friends Cathey Smith, Linda Jones, Debbie Smith, Dennis Jones, and Kim Thirouin.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Donald Combs, daughter Brenda Mackey, son Ronald Williams; brothers Dennis Mackey, David Mackey, and Joe Mackey; and sisters Lily Grant and Mary Ann Goodnight.

A funeral service for Carolyn will be held Tuesday, Oct. 14 at 2:30 p.m., at Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg. Visitation will be held from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. the same day. As per the family’s wishes, Carolyn’s remains will be cremated.
