Gerald W. Newhouse

Gerald W. Newhouse, 87, of Davisville, passed away Aug. 14, 2025, at Ohio Valley Healthcare. He was born Oct. 30, 1937, a son to the late Samuel E. and Rachel C. Newhouse (Peters). Gerald served his country in the US Army and worked at GE plastics for 34 years.

Surviving Gerald is his son, Michael Newhouse; brother Delbert Newhouse, and several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Shirley Newhouse, and 11 brothers and sisters.

A service for Gerald will be held Wednesday, Aug. 20, at Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg, at 2:30 p.m. Visitation will be held the same day from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Burial will follow the service at Kanawha Baptist Cemetery.
