Irene Betty Harvey

Irene Betty Harvey, 73, of Parkersburg, passed away Aug. 25, 2024, the Worthington Manor Nursing Home. She was born on April 2, 1951, in Grantsville, WV, a daughter of the late Oral and Mabel Metz Campbell. She loved singing with her brothers and sisters and also in the church choir. She was a devout Christian and loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by one son, Thomas D. Harvey, II (Amanda) of Parkersburg; one daughter Stacy Dowler (Bill), of Walker, WV; one granddaughter, Braylee Dowler; one brother, Perry (Stephanie) Campbell of Utah; four sisters, Nancy (Jimmie) Hardman of Grantsville, WV, Helen (Clinton) Whitt of Richmond, VA, Delores (Pete) Ramos of El Paso, TX and Martha Campbell of San Antonio, TX.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Thomas D. Harvey; four brothers, Tom, Bruce, Albert and Clyde Campbell and one sister, Edith Burchet.

Graveside Services will be Friday 10 a.m. at Collins Community Cemetery in Calhoun County, WV.

Visitation will be held Thursday 3-5 p.m. at the Leavitt Funeral Home of Parkersburg.
