T. Ardell Howell

T. Ardell Howell, 76, of New Martinsville, WV, died Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2021, while in Camden Clark Hospital.

Ardell was born Dec. 21, 1944, in New Martinsville, WV; son of the late Winfred and Hazel (Mason) Howell.

He was retired employee of Clements Oil with thirty-eight years of service and Gap Entech after four years, a U.S. Army veteran, enjoyed working with corn meal and water well drilling and a member of the First Church of God.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two daughters, Candice Lynn Willis and Teresa Renee Gilbert.

Survived by his wife of forty-nine years, Marie (Wayt) Howell; whom he married Oct. 9, 1971; son, Winfred S. Howell of Sardis, OH; daughter, Heather (Derrick) Rine of Middlebourne, WV; step-sons, Brady (Sharon) Howell) of Proctor, WV, Michael (Dina) Howell of New Martinsville, WV; step-daughter, Sharon (Darrell) Goddard of New Martinsville, WV; son-in-law, Michael Gilbert of New Martinsville, WV; thirteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren; brothers, Bill (Carolyn) Howell of New Martinsville, WV, Gary Howell of New Martinsville, WV; sister, Patsy (David) Bee of Mineral Wells, WV and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Friday, Sept. 3, 2021, at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville where services will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 4, 2021. Burial to follow in Northview Cemetery.
