WILLIAMSTOWN – Incumbents Marty Seufer and Pat Peters will continue serving on Williamstown City Council following Tuesday’s election. Seufer said he was pleased to see the current council team remain in place, while also acknowledging challenger Jeff Meeks’ showing in the race. “I’m just glad we’ve got the same team working together that we’ve had for the past few years,” Seufer said. “But hats off to (Jeff Meeks). PARKERSBURG – Incumbents in the two District 3 Senate seats won their primaries by wide margins Tuesday, but races in two House of Delegates districts were a lot closer. Sen. Tom Azinger, R-Wood, fended off a primary challenge from Del. Bob Fehrenbacher, R-Wood, tallying 5,811 votes across Wood, Wirt, Pleasants and Ritchie counties to Fehrenbacher’s 3,698.
