Taste of Parkersburg brings food, drinks and live music to Bicentennial Park Saturday

PARKERSBURG — Food, wine and beer enthusiasts will gather in downtown Parkersburg on Saturday for the annual Taste of Parkersburg at Bicentennial Park. The event, one of the area’s premier summer gatherings, is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. and will feature samples from a variety of local restaurants, along with wine, beer and live music, according to a release from Downtown PKB. A story in the June 11 edition of the News and Sentinel included an incorrect name of a podcast to be live-taped in Berkeley Springs Sunday. The podcast is “Suspension of the Rules!” The story also incorrectly listed Isaac Saul’s home region. Saul is a native of southeastern Pennsylvania.

Court rules a case against Clean and Clear can be dismissed to allow the company to take further action

PARKERSBURG – The West Virginia Intermediate Court of Appeals of West Virginia upheld an order allowing the Kanawha County Circuit Court to dismiss a case involving a Parkersburg drug and alcohol rehabilitation center trying to expand their treatment bed availability in Wood County.
