Newport man among three killed in Saturday accidents

MARIETTA -- Three people were killed in traffic accidents Saturday in the region, including a Newport man in Washington County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Tyler R. Auville, 34, Newport, was killed when the 1965 Ford Mustang he was driving went off State Route 7 in Ohio Township, struck an embankment and overturned, the Marietta Post said. Auville was extracted from the car and taken to Marietta Memorial Hospital Marietta Campus where he was later pronounced dead, the post said. PARKERSBURG – An Ohio man died after a single-vehicle accident that closed the northbound lanes of Interstate 77 near the Emerson Avenue exit to Parkersburg on Sunday afternoon. PARKERSBURG — Three people were arrested Friday after the Parkersburg Police Department’s SWAT team executed a search warrant at a residence in the 800 block of Seventh Street, police said.
