PARKERSBURG – The Wood County Commission signed off Thursday on applying for funding to help pay for the victims’ advocates in the Wood County Prosecutor’s Office. RITCHIE COUNTY – There will be delays across Ritchie, Pleasants and Tyler counties from Sunday to Thursday as an oil and gas rig moves in, the West Virginia Division of Highways announced. PARKERSBURG – An accident report filed by the Parkersburg Police Department says Mayor Tom Joyce opened the door of a city-owned vehicle into traffic, and it was struck by a passing motorist on June 16. The report’s narrative said Joyce was at fault for opening his car door into traffic. No citation was issued.
