Oil and gas rig equipment moving through Ritchie, Pleasants, Tyler counties

RITCHIE COUNTY – There will be delays across Ritchie, Pleasants and Tyler counties from Sunday to Thursday as an oil and gas rig moves in, the West Virginia Division of Highways announced.

Several large loads will be transferred intermittently between 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., potentially delaying traffic due to the oversized trucks and equipment.

The route will go from West Virginia 74, at milepost 27.739, to Haddox Run (Ritchie County 4) from milepost zero to 1.67, continuing into Tyler County to milepost 2.38. It then moves on to McKim Creek (Tyler County 20) from milepost 1.2 until that road becomes Tyler County 6/5, then to milepost 1.3. The route continues onto Hebron Road from milepost 0.26 in Tyler County to milepost 1.36 in Pleasants County.

Motorists are asked to plan accordingly.

Inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances could change the work schedule.

Starting at $3.70/week.
