Collision involving truck, semi claims man’s life near Gallopolis

GALLIPOLIS — One person was killed in a traffic accident Monday morning near Gallipolis, according to the Gallipolis Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Les Clark, 62, of Gallipolis. was driving a 1995 GMC truck south on State Route 7 where he went left of center and struck a northbound 2018 Peterbuilt semi driven by Matthew Radabaugh, 51, of Lucasville, the patrol said. The semi went off the side of the road, the patrol said.
Clark, wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Gallia County Coroner’s Office, the patrol said. No injuries were reported to Radabaugh.
The accident happened around 10:30 a.m. Monday near mile post 32 in Gallia County, according to the patrol. The road was closed for about four hours.
