Parkersburg Narcotics Task Force arrests three on drug charges

PARKERSBURG — Three people were arrested Wednesday in Parkersburg on charges relating to fentanyl.

On Wednesday, the Parkersburg Narcotics Task Force executed a search warrant at 18 Haught St. in Parkersburg, as part of a fentanyl distribution investigation, according to a press release from the task force.

“Entry into the residence was made by Wood County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team,” the release said. “Once inside the residence, agents located approximately 100 grams of suspected fentanyl, suboxone, digital scales, and a large amount of U.S. currency.”

Those arrested included Bryson Boey of Columbus, for possession of fentanyl with intent to deliver and possession of suboxone with the intent to deliver. Also, arrested were James Blevins and Carl Porter, both of 18 Haught St., for maintaining a dwelling for the use of controlled substances.

All subjects remain incarcerated, according to the press release.

Boey’s arraignment paperwork from Wood County Magistrate Court said his residence was in Pickering, Ohio. He was arraigned in Wood County Magistrate Court and held on a $150,000 surety bond. Porter was arraigned and held on a $10,000 surety bond. Blevins was arraigned and held on $10,000 surety bond.

The Parkersburg Narcotics Task Force is comprised of the West Virginia State Police, Wood County Sheriff’s Office, Parkersburg Police Department, and the Vienna Police Department.
