PARKERSBURG — The following cases were handled in Wood County Magistrate Court on Jan. 10-12:
* Bobby James Asbury, 533 Sixth St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to attempt to commit a misdemeanor punishable by confinement in jail, fined $176.48 and sentenced to six months in jail which was suspended and he was placed on one year of unsupervised probation. Another charge of attempt to commit a misdemeanor punishable by confinement in jail was dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Troy Allen Knopp, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and fined $186.48. He was ordered to pay a $50 civil penalty to the Sheetz store on Seventh Street in Parkersburg.
* ShaeLynn Jayde Hallam, 5984 State Route 26, Marietta, had a charge of possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription dismissed after the successful completion of a deferred sentence agreement.
* Delilah Rosalie Paternoster, 1826 Craddock Fork Road, Lake, W.Va., had a charge of possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription dismissed after the successful completion of a deferred sentence agreement.
* Riley M. Kerns, 1851 Lake Washington Road, Washington, W.Va., pleaded guilt to having an unplugged shotgun and fined $196.48.
* Amanda Sue Hall, 572 Lower Mudlick Road, Elizabeth, pleaded guilty to speeding (10 mph or less in excess on highway) and fined $181.48
* Steven Andrew White, 136 Oakbrook Drive, Mineral Wells, pleaded no contest to speeding and fined $186.48.
* Cheryl Renee Barker, 4753 St. Rt. 339, Vincent, pleaded no contest to speeding and having defective equipment and fined $382.96.
* Haylen Hershel Miller, 1022 Lakeview Drive Apt. A, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of driving on a suspended license and having no insurance and released on $500 bond.
* Dustin Thompson, Williamstown, was arraigned on a charge of domestic battery and released on $1,500 bond.
* Ashley Nicole Roberts, Parkersburg, was arraigned on two counts of child abuse resulting in injury and held on $200,000 bond.
* William Gale Everett II, 8 Stella Court, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of obstruction, indecent exposure and disorderly conduct and held on $2,500 bond.
* Christopher S. Temple, 1108 Juliana St. Apt. 84, Parkersburg, was arraigned on two counts of failure to register as a sex offender for life and held on $20,000 bond. He was also arraigned on a charge of driving on a revoked license for DUI and held on $2,000 bond.
* Nia Marie Robinson, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of trespassing and released on $500 bond.

PARKERSBURG — The following cases were handled in Wood County Magistrate Court on Jan. 13:
* Todd Justin Twyman, 2116 Liberty St., Parkersburg, had a charge of violating a protective order dismissed after the alleged victim did not wish to prosecute.
* Jason Allen Deaton, 1310 36th St., Parkersburg, had a charge of destruction of property dismissed after fixing the damaged property.
* John Jason Leigh Cline, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to domestic battery, fined $286.48 and sentenced to one year in jail which was suspended and he was placed on one year of unsupervised probation.
* James Dale Leary, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to destruction of property and possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription, fined $352.96 and sentenced to 90 days in jail which was suspended and placed on one year of unsupervised probation with a credit of one day for time served. Charges of failure to process and possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription were dismissed, per a plea agreement.
* Alisha J. Blakley, 608 Elm St., Belpre, was arraigned on a charge of second-offense shoplifting and released on $1,000 bond.
* Caleb Andrew Norman, 159 Onward Branch Road, Williamstown, was arraigned on a charge of child abuse resulting in injury or risk of injury and released on $150,000 bond.
* Bryce Jefferson Riggs, 1145 Deerwalk Road, Walker, was arraigned on a charge of trespassing and released on $500 bond.
* Brian Keith Edgar, No Address Given, was arraigned on a charge of being a fugitive from justice out of Washington County, Ohio, on charges of drug trafficking, possession of drug abuse instruments and possessing drug paraphernalia. A bond hearing will be set in Wood County Circuit Court.
* Gregory Allen Carter Jr., 1743 Seventh St., Parkersburg, had a preliminary hearing waived on two counts of third-offense shoplifting. The case was sent to Wood County Circuit Court. A charge of shoplifting was dismissed as he took a global plea in Wood County Circuit Court.
* Nicholas A. Searle, 6665 Brandt Road, Carroll, Ohio, pleaded guilty to four counts of having no personal floatation devices for children under 13 years old and fined $785.92. He had charges of boating under the influence and not having mandatory PFD wear for a child younger than 13-years-old dismissed.
* Nathan Beat Augenstein, 187 Bailey Road, Marietta, pleaded guilty to speeding (10 mph or less in excess on highway) and fined $181.48.
* Hannah Nicole Brannon, 5552 Dupont Road, Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to speeding and having no operator’s license and fined $377.96
* McKenzie Don Johnson, 1232 Swann St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to speeding and fined $196.48.
