Vienna woman faces murder charge
PARKERSBURG — A Vienna woman has been charged with murder for allegedly arranging a drug deal that resulted in the shooting death of a Parkersburg man this week.
Dezaray Lynn Roberts, 22, 1104 17th St., was arrested Wednesday on a charge of first-degree murder and is being held without bond pending a hearing in Wood County Circuit Court.
According to a criminal complaint filed in Wood County Magistrate Court, Roberts allegedly admitted to contacting Terrance Mills Jr., 26, of Parkersburg, for a drug transaction, with a plan for two male suspects to rob him and split the proceeds with her.
Police responded Tuesday to 1402 Covert St. and found Mills covered in blood, lying face-down in a flower bed, the complaint says. He was taken to WVU Medicine Camden Clark, where he succumbed to his injuries.
