Authorities arrest Parkersburg men in B&E, drug incidents
Jeffrey Luke Talbert
PARKERSBURG — Two Parkersburg men were arrested this week after separate instances of breaking and entering and drug sales.
Monday, officers responded to a local business on Emerson Avenue when the caller said she was watching Jeffrey Luke Talbert, 40, 1725 Latrobe St., Parkersburg, inside the building, according to a criminal complaint filed with the Wood County Magistrate Court.
When law enforcement arrived, Talbert was leaving the business. After Talbert was told to show his hands, he turned as if to run. The two got into a brief altercation before he was arrested, according to the complaint.
During the altercation, multiple golf divot fixers and golf ball markers fell out of Talbert’s pocket along with several other items and two bank envelopes with $371 in cash, the complaint said.
“The victim confirmed that the items and currency had been removed from the business,” the complaint said.
Talbert was being held at North Central Regional Jail on a $75,000 surety bond.
