Stanley Neal Butcher passed on April 13, 2026 at his home. He was born on April 13, 1954, in Parkersburg, WV to the late Carl and Margie (Parsons) Butcher.

Stanley worked for the Painters Union local 1144 and retired after 30 plus years. He enjoyed bowling, Nascar, home projects, playing corn hole, cookouts, trips, family gatherings but most of all family poker night.

Stanley proudly served his country. He served in the United States Army. After his service he became an active member in the American Legion Post 15, the VFW 1212, and the Moose Lodge.

Those left behind to carry on his legacy are his sons, Jamie (Danielle) Butcher, Bert (Crystal) Feick, Kyle (Brittany) Butcher, S. Shuan (Cindy) Butcher, Josh Williamson; brothers; David Butcher, Larry Butcher; sister Brenda Cox; grandchildren, Paige Carlson, Joey Blackburn, Kota Butcher, Faithlyn Butcher; Pierce Strothers, and great-grandchildren; Caysen Carlson, Evalynn Carlson, Bryker Feick-Blackburn, Kaylynn Blackburn, and Taylor Blackburn.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sherry; his long time partner, Retta Guinn; sisters, Donna Butcher, Linda Butcher; and his grandson, Taylor Feick.

A visitation will be held at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home on Friday, April 17, 2026 from 5 to 8 pm. Military Honors for Stanley will be held at 6 pm at the funeral home to honor his service.
