Frontier Alumni Association boosts Gutberlet, Felter
MARIETTA — Jacob Gutberlet and Katana Felter have received $500 scholarships from the Frontier Alumni Association.
Gutberlet is the son of Dawn and Kirk Gutberlet of Reno. He graduated from Frontier High School and Washington State Community College.
He has an associate’s in business transfer. Gutberlet was accepted at Marietta College for its finance program and accepted into the McDonough Leadership Program.
Gutberlet’s goal is a bachelor’s in finances.
Felter is the daughter of William Felter of New Matamoras and Tanya Michael of Sarasota, Fla. She graduated from Frontier High School and Washington State and is certified to be a digital marketer.
She was accepted at Muskingum University where she will attend its social work program. Her goal is to receive a bachelor’s in social work with the ultimate goal to become a child and family social worker.
This is the 10th year for the scholarships.
The Alumni Association plans to award two more scholarships in the 2021-2022 school year. Senior in 2021-2022 can see Frontier guidance counselor Holly Cunningham, a 1990 alumna, for more information or a scholarship application.
