Manchin details local funding from American Rescue Plan
PARKERSBURG — U.S. Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., was in Parkersburg Thursday to talk to local leaders about what communities can expect from funding in the American Rescue Plan.
The direct funding will be given to counties and communities for COVID-19 recovery, water, sewer and broadband projects.
* Wood County will receive $16.2 million with $320,000 going to North Hills, $22.45 million to the City of Parkersburg, $2.69 million to the City of Vienna and $1.19 million to the City of Williamstown.
* Tyler County will receive $1.67 million with $50,000 going to Friendly, $310,000 to Middlebourne, $970,000 to Paden City and $530,000 to Sistersville.
* Wirt County will receive $1.13 million with $350,000 going to the town of Elizabeth.
* Jackson County will receive $5.54 million with $1.52 million going to Ravenswood and $1.31 million going to Ripley.
* Ritchie County will receive $1.85 million with $40,000 going to Auburn, $110,000 going to Cairo, $150,000 going to Ellenboro, $700,000 going to Harrisville, $420,000 to Pennsboro and $60,000 to Pullman.
* Pleasants County will receive $1.45 million with $360,000 going to Belmont and $740,000 going to St. Marys.
* Calhoun County will receive $1.38 million with Grantsville receiving $210,000
* Doddridge County will receive $1.64 million with West Union receiving $330,000.
* Gilmer County will receive $1.52 million with Glenville receiving $600,000.
* Roane County will receive $2.65 million with Reedy receiving $70,000 and Spencer receiving $850,000.
