Growing potatoes subject of class

The Waverly Activity Center, 422 Virginia St. in Waverly, will hold a hands-on gardening class on growing potatoes at home from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, May 19. Participants will learn an affordable and beginner-friendly way using a milk crate perfect for small spaces or those without a traditional garden. Participants will receive a milk crate, soil, hay, seeds and step-by-step guidance to help them grow potatoes at home. The cost of the class is $20 and space is limited.
