Farmers Castle Museum to hold open house for Juneteenth

BELPRE – Farmers Castle Museum, operated by the Belpre Historical Society, will have an open house from 1-4 p.m. Saturday in recognition of Juneteenth. The Underground Railroad in Southeastern Ohio, a permanent exhibit that details the rise of the freedom movement along the Ohio River shoreline of Washington County in the late 18th and early 19th centuries, will be featured. MARIETTA — Marietta College has received a nearly $100,000 grant to develop campus-wide mentoring and educational programs intended to help students connect their studies, experiences and future plans with a broader sense of purpose.
