PARKERSBURG — The YMCA of Parkersburg will be holding its 2026 Heart of Our Community Dinner, an annual celebration recognizing individuals whose leadership, service, and generosity have made a lasting impact on the Mid-Ohio Valley, in late February.
The Heart of Our Community Award honors an individual whose commitment to community service and regional leadership reflects the core values of the YMCA.
The YMCA will be recognizing Charlie Burd as the 2026 Heart of Our Community Award recipient. His lifelong dedication to youth development, community service, and leadership across the region embodies the spirit of this honor.
The dinner will take place on Thursday, Feb. 26, beginning at 5:30 p.m., at the Grand Pointe Conference & Reception Center, 1500 Grand Central Ave., Suite 118, Vienna.
Guests are invited to enjoy an evening that includes dinner, the presentation of the Heart of Our Community Award, a silent auction showcasing local goods and services, and an update on YMCA initiatives from CEO Benton Walker.
Proceeds from the event will support the YMCA of Parkersburg’s continued growth and its mission to strengthen the Mid-Ohio Valley through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
Tickets are available for $100 per person and can be purchased online at: tinyurl.com/msr5bjja
