PARKERSBURG — First time exhibitor Michael Mueller will be displaying his photography at WesBanco Bank during January.
Mueller is a self-taught photographer and opened Michael Mueller Photography about three and a half years ago.
The Michael Mueller Outdoor Photography exhibit will be on display at WesBanco Bank, 415 Market St. during January. The exhibit may be viewed during regular business hours of Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Mueller uses Nikon and Canon cameras to take his photos.
“I love taking pictures of landscapes, sunsets, family photos, weddings, proms, and pets. I got interested in taking photos of people because none of us are promised to be here tomorrow. The memories I capture will be and can last past our lifetime,” he said.
Mueller was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, and moved to West Virginia in 2000. His interest in photography began when several tragedies occurred in his life and he realized that the pictures he had of these people were very precious to him. His thoughts were that other people could benefit from holding on to pictures of loved ones too and his personal photos of loved ones sparked his interest in photography.
“Since I have started taking pictures on a professional level I have fallen in love with capturing people’s memories and sharing their photos with them,” he said.
