The former Van Devender Middle School is being prepared for demolition. Kaleb Lawrence, Assistant Superintendent of Operations, told the Wood County Board of Education this week that demolition could begin Wednesday or today. The building was fenced off and equipment was parked near the building to begin tearing it down when the approval is given. PARKERSBURG – The former Van Devender Middle School is being prepared for demolition.
