PARKERSBURG — The Denise Harris art exhibit will be on display in the lobby at WesBanco Bank, 415 Market St., Parkersburg during October.

The exhibit may be viewed during regular business hours of Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Harris will be exhibiting art at WesBanco she worked on recently that will feature different styles and mediums she has been experimenting with while ultimately making art full time. She is a multi-talented artist who works mainly in acrylics, but also paints with oils, enjoys pencil sketching and adding to her work with colored pencils.

“I’ve had a passion for art from an early age when I was old enough to hold a pencil,” she said.

Harris has participated in community exhibits at Parkersburg Art Center, Artsbridge, Grand Central Mall and previously at WesBanco.

Some of Harris’ work is purely decorative while others are more thought-provoking or just for fun.

“I prefer acrylic as a medium for its ability to multi-layer color and easily achieve visual depth. I have fun with the process and don’t take it too seriously,” noted Harris. “I hope everyone enjoys my work and I’m honored to be a part of these wonderful exhibits.”
