Around the Race Course: Quincy Street Steps – Mile 11.2

Nearly 200 steps toward Quincy Park provide area residents travel between Avery Street and Quincy Park with a good workout.
Marker 11.2 takes runners and walkers past the Quincy Hill steps that are a popular training location for participants in the area. The bottom of the stairs begins at Tenth and Avery streets. From there, Quincy Hill may look intimidating with its 173 steps, but many people use it as a spot to get some cardio in. At the top, is Quincy Park, which has an overlook to the city, a playground, a small basketball court and some shelters. When you are out and about, we encourage you to go view the city from this vantage point.
