Around the Race Course: Mile Marker Nine

West Virginia 95 provides racers with a long and flat section before heading back into downtown Parkersburg.

The mile that begins after marker nine moves runners and walkers from Old Camden Avenue to Camden Avenue or West Virginia 95, where the right lane of the highway will be dedicated to participants in the half marathon. Once on West Virginia 95, this leg of the race is fairly straight and flat, surrounded by numerous businesses. Runners and walkers will be able to enjoy the sights of South Parkersburg. The News and Sentinel Half Marathon and Two-Mile Race will be held Aug. 16. Register for the races at: https://www.newsandsentinelhalfmarathon.com/. Questions? Contact Race Coordinator Sarah Watson at halfmarathon@newsandsentinel.com.

Starting at $2.99/week.
