YMCA of Parkersburg preps Sweet Treats in honor of Halloween

PARKERSBURG — The YMCA of Parkersburg will hold its fourth annual Sweet Treats on Broad Street from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Oct. 26 at the YMCA.

The free family-friendly Halloween celebration will include trick or treat with creative candy delivery systems, children’s character photos and a performance by the Thrill the World Dancers from Parkersburg.

Among themed booths are Down on the Farm, Outer Space, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and football.

The event will kick-off with the 6 p.m. performance by the Thrill the World Dancers. The performance is an annual simultaneous dance to “Thriller” by Michael Jackson.

Thrill The World is a global community project inspiring the break down of barriers through dance by connecting people of all religions, races, gender identities and economic backgrounds. The organization contributes to the growth of humanity by encouraging others to step up as leaders, visionaries and creators.
