PARKERSBURG — An alert was sent out Sunday afternoon from Superintendent Will Hosaflook of Wood County Schools, regarding Parkersburg High School. The alert said that there would be remote learning and that the reason behind the power outages had been found.
“During the 2006 renovation, a new power line was installed from the Field House to the main building. This Saturday morning, we located a nick in the line that has been infiltrated by water and will need to be replaced,” said Hosaflook, in an alert.
PHS will utilize remote learning on Schoology and Microsoft teams for at least the next two days, said Hosaflook. He said the only power on campus is in the field house. He said PHS Principle Kenneth Demoss will inform employees and students with the remote plan moving forward for Monday and Tuesday.
