PARKERSBURG — The WVU Medicine Camden Clark Foundation received several financial gifts from area businesses, totaling $37,175 to be used to provide important mammograms to many in the community who otherwise would not be able to afford them.

The donations received from Astorg Auto and iPacket along with Wincore Windows will directly benefit the Camden Clark Foundation’s Pink Mammogram Fund which provides free screening mammograms, diagnostics and biopsies for local uninsured or underinsured patients.

Astorg Auto and iPacket provided $8,475 and $12,700, respectively, from vehicle and iPacket package sales throughout the month of October, explained Seve Astorg, CEO and co-founder of iPacket.

“We’ve been a part of this initiative for eight plus years now, and we were excited to be a part of it this year,” Astorg said. “A big thanks goes out to our customers and the people who helped us support this fund and donate the money.

”It’s definitely going to the right place, and I encourage everyone to get involved.”

Brian Standley, Vice President of Finance at Wincore Windows, noted that Wincore supports Camden Clark’s Pink Mammogram Fund each year at its annual golf tournament, with contributions totaling $16,000 in 2022.

“Wincore has always been very supportive of breast cancer awareness charities,” Standley said. “It’s just been part of who we are. Our founders felt that was something important to support and we’ve been doing it since day one.”

The Pink Mammogram Fund has provided more than 3,000 free procedures for Mid-Ohio Valley patients since its establishment.

“The Foundation was greatly blessed by a few local businesses,” said Jon Leavitt, Camden Clark’s Foundation Board President. “Today we received $37,000 for the Pink Fund which allows us to serve over 3,000 women in this community to provide mammograms, which is tremendous and just exceptional.”

Camden Clark Foundation Executive Director Kim Couch echoed Leavitt’s sentiments.

“This money translates to hundreds of screening mammograms, diagnostics and biopsies, with funds also allocated for patient co-pays, and we’re continuing to look to the future to expand services for those in our communities who are uninsured or underinsured,” Couch said. “We’re incredibly grateful to our local business for their generosity and support in our efforts to provide such a critical need for area patients.”
