Dianne and Marvin Bennett

Marvin and Dianne (Viar) Bennett will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.

They were married Aug. 9, 1975, at St. John’s United Methodist Church in Vienna, W.Va.

Marvin is the son of the late Charles Bennett and the late Shirley Hammond, and the stepson of Robert Hammond. Dianne is the daughter of the late George and Betty Viar. Together they raised two daughters: Heather Archer (Allen) of Mt. Juliet, Tenn., and Ashley Bennett (George Markland) of Pittsburgh. They also have two grandchildren, AJ and Madison Archer.

A drop-in reception is planned for 3-7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, at the Parkersburg Art Center.
