Jerry and Connie Thorne will celebrate their 50th anniversary on Saturday, June 7. After meeting on a blind date in 1972, they were married in 1975 at Wayside United Methodist Church in Vienna by the late Rev. Elwood Fleming.

Jerry is the son of the late Robert Wayne Thorne and the late Mary Thorne Withum and is retired from Ogden Directories. Connie is the daughter of Ruby Bonnett and the late George R. Bonnett and retired from Ohio Valley Check Cashing.

They are the parents of Amy Widman of Olmsted Township, Ohio, and Shannon Stewart of Vienna. They are the grandparents of Cassell, Sutton and Athenn Stewart of Vienna and Isabella Widman of Olmsted Township.
