Larry Joe Hughes, 76, of Parkersburg, went to be with his Lord and Savior March 11, 2018.
He was born in Tyler County June 24, 1941 a son of the late Denver F. Hughes and Helen L. (Patterson) Hughes.
Larry was a Parkersburg High School graduate class of 1960, Army Combat Engineer, and retired from Ames with 32 years of service.
He was a member of the 19th Street Church of God where he served on Pastor's Council Committee, The Youth Board, and various other committees.
He is survived by his wife June E. Hughes of Parkersburg, son, Nathan Hughes of Pine Knot Kentucky, son, Terrance Hughes of Parkersburg, grandchild, Michael Walker, and sister Judy Nesselroad & (Bob) of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Services will be Friday 6:00 P.M. at the Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg with Reverend Jimmy Cox and Reverend Michael Cox officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.leavittfuneralhome.com
