MARIETTA -- Two young girls were killed in a mobile home fire early Monday.
Washington County Sheriff Larry Mincks said the department got a call about 2 a.m. for a mobile home fully engulfed in flames at 2325 Sheets Run Drive, New Matamoras.
He said the two girls, ages 17 and 12, were discovered in the trailer. Their names are not yet being released.
Grandview, Newport, Pleasants County and Reno volunteer fire departments were on scene.
Further information was unavailable Monday evening, pending the sheriff's department talking with family members.
