ROCKPORT - One fatality was reported in a structure fire at 12442 Pond Creek Road Wednesday afternoon.
According to Deputy H.R. Kochersperger of the Wood County Sheriff's Department, the identity of the victim is not being released until the family has been notified.
The structure was mostly burned to the ground except for a chimney still standing.
The call came in at 1:03 p.m., but firefighters were still working to put out hot spots around 3:30 p.m.
Four fire departments, the Wood County fire investigation team and the State Fire Marshal were on the scene.
