PARKERSBURG -- The film about a small Ritchie County community, "What About Auburn?", will be shown at two West Virginia film festivals this summer.
The film will screen twice at the West Virginia International Film Festival in Charleston on Aug. 7 at 7 p.m. and Aug. 21 at 7 p.m. Richard Anderson of Richard Anderson Productions and Rowland and Marcie Hill of Laffin' River Films will be represented and available for a question and answer session after the screening on Aug. 21.
"What About Auburn?" also will be shown at the Enginuity Film Festival in Charles Town, in the Eastern Panhandle, Sept. 13-15.
Anderson's film paints a portrait of the once-thriving Auburn, a community in eastern Ritchie County, that has fallen on hard times. The movie premiered at the Smoot Theatre in Parkersburg on May 10.
