MARIETTA -- A multi-car accident at the corner of Ohio Seven and County House Lane sent three to the hospital with non life threatening injuries.
Just after 5 p.m. on Wednesday, troopers from the Marietta post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to an accident that involved four vehicles. Trooper Adam Reiter said a vehicle was turning left onto County House Lane from Ohio Seven when it was struck in the side by a south bound vehicle on Ohio Seven.
Reiter said a second accident resulted as traffic began backing up from the first on Ohio Seven. He said a Ford hatchback was rear ended by a Ford SUV at 5:04 p.m. near the original accident.
"A total of three individuals were sent to the hospital," he said.
Reiter said the names of the individuals won't be released until an investigation of the wreck is complete. Reiter also said as of 7 p.m. on Wednesday, the accident victims were still hospitalized.
