Six transported to hospitals after crash on Camden Avenue

PARKERSBURG -- A two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Camden Avenue and Elder Street Thursday afternoon sent six people to Camden Clark Medical Center, said Lt. S.L. Bunner of the Parkersburg Police Department.

"Two of the six were later life flighted to another hospital, although I am not sure to which hospital," Bunner said.

A Cadillac was traveling toward Route 95 from Elder Street when the other vehicle, a green car, struck the Cadillac, Bunner said. The make and model of the green car were unavailable

The names of those involved in the crash were unavailable.

Bunner said several people had to be removed from the vehicles and the southbound lane of Camden Avenue was closed while crews cleared the scene.

The crash occurred at about 3 p.m. and the lane was not reopened until 5:04 p.m.
