PARKERSBURG -- With 64 televisions throughout the building, with one in every booth and plenty mounted to the walls, JP Henry's was packed on Friday night for the Camping World Bowl game featuring the West Virginia University Mountaineers and the Syracuse Orange.
"No matter where you are sitting, you can see the game," said Bram MacAlpin, the floor manager at JP Henry's.
Bre Hughes, the owner for 34 years, decorates the building for all WVU, Ohio State, Ohio University and Marshall University games and every for holiday.
According to Hughes, for the past 16 years, the WVU Coaches Caravan has been held at JP Henry's.
"We are proud of our sports teams here in the Mid-Ohio Valley, and are proud to join with the community in cheering them on," said Hughes.
"Even though we don't decorate for every game, we have the full sports package for pro and colleges games," Hughes said, adding the package is for all sports not just football.
"No matter who you root for, if they are playing, the game is playing here," she said.
Hughes says she always tries to make game days more fun for the fans, treating each like an event, "because for so many fans it is an event."
"It is undoubtedly the best sports bar restaurant in my opinion," said Steve McCord , a regular guest at JP Henry's.
"There are many junior high and high school sports teams that have banquets here, not only in Wood County," said Hughes.
JP Henry's serves lunch, dinner, coffee and drinks.
"We cater and host many group or corporate events as well," said Hughes.
