MARIETTA -- A Vienna man remains in the Washington County Jail after he waived his preliminary hearing in Marietta Municipal Court Wednesday.
Douglas Edward Mitchell, 28, of 702 31st St., was arrested by the Washington County Sheriff's Office and charged Aug. 29 with rape of a 12-year-old Washington County child, a first-degree felony. His $150,000 bond was continued and the case will be bound over to Common Pleas Court for possible indictment.
