Search on for missing Gilmer County woman

WILEYVILLE, W.Va. — The West Virginia State Police is looking for a Gilmer County woman who was last seen Monday morning in Wetzel County.
Melinda Rice, 42, was last seen walking away from a home on Brock Ridge near Wileyville in Wetzel County.
According to her family, Rice has a slender build, brown hair and hazel eyes. She is 5-foot-4 and weighs 120 to 125 pounds. She has a tattoo of a cross on her left middle finger, a small dagger tattoo on her left ankle and a tattoo that says “I Love Freddie” on her right ankle.
She was wearing a dark gray West Virginia hooded sweatshirt, jeans and white tennis shoes.
Rice’s family found an article of her clothing along the road in the area where she was last seen. The item was taken to the state police. According to the family, the state police said they had taken search dogs to the area where Rice was last seen.
Her family is offering a $500 reward for information concerning her whereabouts.
