‘Fool for Love’ taking stage at Marietta College

MARIETTA — The Theatre at Marietta College will to present “Fool for Love” by Sam Shepard, directed by Marietta College student Madison Roe and featuring Jeff Walker, Sam Bartlett, Sam Bidwell and Morgan Scritchfield.

A critical and popular success, the Winner of the Obie Award is a “sharply humorous study of love, hate and the dying myths of the Old West,” according to a press release.

Performances will be at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Feb. 22-23 and a Playing for Others performance at 2 p.m. and a Preshow Lecture Series performance at 8 p.m. Feb. 23. In Playing for Others, a portion of proceeds will benefit a designated charity. For the Preshow Lecture Series show, patrons are invited to attend an hour before the performance to engage with directors, performers and guests.

The play is intended for mature audiences and is $10 for an adult, $8 for a child or senior. Tickets are available through marietta.edu/boxoffice.
